Are you a Yoga Teacher looking for effective methods to help those students avoid knee, ankle and hip pain/injuries?
This workshop provides effective ways to create healthy hip, knee and foot alignment in yoga poses, including seated meditation poses. You will be guided through the basic anatomy of the hip and knee, how anatomy applies to yoga poses, and how to develop better awareness as we explore safe alignment practices. We will cover options when assisting students in strengthen and lengthen muscles. You will emerge with effective tools to create ease and safety for your yoga students.
We will specifically focus on healthy alignment, including illustrations of safe practices in:
- Standing and balancing poses (for example Warrior I and I; Triangle; Mountain; Tree)
- Hip openers (Pigeon; Lizard; Bound Angle)
- Cross legged meditation pose and modifications (Easy Pose; Lotus)
Who should attend this workshop: Current 200-Hour and 500-hour yoga instructors.
